Herkesin Yapabileceği Bir Şey; bozuk bir araba içerisindeki iki kadının kırılmalarına, direniş ve teslim oluş biçimlerine tanıklık edilen kısa bir yolculuğun hikayesidir.

As Possible As Everthing is the story of a short journey where one witnesses the disappointment and the ways of the fight and surrender of two woman in a broken down car.

Selen Örcan, 1994 yılında İzmir’de doğdu. 2018 yılında Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Sahne Sanatları – Dramatik Yazarlık ve Dramaturji Bölümü’nden mezun oldu. 2019 yılında Kültür Bakanlığı tarafından fonlanan ve aynı yıl çekimleri tamamlanan “Sıcak Yatak” isimli belgeselin hikâye ve senaryo ekibinde yer aldı. 2022 yılında senarist ve yönetmenliğini yaptığı ilk kısa filmi “Herkesin Yapabileceği Bir Şey” aynı yıl başladığı festival yolculuğunu ulusal ve uluslararası ödül ve gösterimlerle tamamladı. 31. Adana Altın Koza Film Festivali’yle dünya prömiyerini yapan, Doğuş Algün’ün yönetmenliğini yaptığı “Ölü Mevsim” isimli uzun metraj filmin ortak senaristidir. Filmle birlikte Altın Koza Film Festivali “En İyi Senaryo” ödülünü almıştır. Bu süreçte çok sayıda kısa ve uzun metraj filmin dramaturgluğunu ve senaryo danışmanlığını yapmıştır.  

Selen Örcan was born in Izmir in 1994. He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Performing Arts – Dramatic Writing and Dramaturgy in 2018. He took part in the story and scenario team of the documentary “Hot Bed”, which was funded by the Ministry of Culture in 2019 and whose shooting was completed in the same year. His first short film, “Something That Everyone Can Do”, which he wrote and directed in 2022, completed its festival journey, which started the same year, with national and international awards and screenings. He is the co-screenwriter of the feature film “Ölü Mevsim“, directed by Doğuş Algün, which had its world premiere at the 31st Adana Altın Koza Film Festival. The film received the Golden Boll Film Festival “Best Screenplay” award. During this period, he worked as a dramaturg and script consultant for many short and feature films.
